Journalists and reporters are invited to register for media access to the ERS International Congress 2019, the flagship meeting of the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the world’s largest congress for respiratory medicine and science. Media registration is free.

The congress will be held from 28 September-2 October, 2019 at the IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid, Spain, and will feature:

  • Over 4,000 abstracts presenting breaking scientific and clinical data
  • More than 500 scientific and educational sessions presented by leaders in the field
  • A diverse range of disease areas, such as lung cancer, asthma and COPD, sleep-disordered breathing and childhood lung disease and infection
  • New research on hot topics including e-cigarettes, air pollution, medical technology and workplace exposures

There will be a full ERS media programme with embargoed press materials as well as an opening press briefing, details of which will be provided up to a week prior to the congress.

During the congress, journalists can attend sessions listed in the scientific programme and are welcome to use the Press Working Area within the ERS Press Centre, with computers, printers and free Wi-Fi to conduct your work.

Interview Rooms are also located in the Press Centre and can be booked for 30-minute slots to conduct and film private interviews. Refreshments will be provided.

If you would like to attend, we strongly recommend that you register in advance using the online form listed on the Media Centre pages of the official congress website.
