Alexandria, Va., USA – IADR is pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 Unilever Hatton Competition and Awards which was held during the 96th General Session of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), held in conjunction with the IADR Pan European Regional (PER) Congress, in London, England at the ExCeL London Convention Center from July 25-28, 2018.
Established in 1953 the Hatton Awards are IADR's longest running awards that recognize young researchers. These awards were established to encourage outstanding young dental scientists to carry out research, attend the annual IADR General Session and compete in the IADR Unilever Hatton Competition and Awards.
The IADR Unilever Hatton Competition and Awards provide an opportunity for the best junior investigators from all IADR Divisions to present their research at the annual IADR General Session. Of these international competitors, up to six may receive monetary awards in the junior and senior categories. In 2018, 57 individuals from 26 Divisions and five non-Divisional Sections, travelled to London and competed in this year's Competition. The Competition was held on Tuesday, July 24 from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. BST. These awards are generously supported by Unilever Oral Care, with additional support from IADR.
