Climate change is the outstanding survival and ethical issue of our time, and requires urgent action if our descendants are to inherit a livable world. Substantial opportunities exist in the transition to a renewable economy provided through climate action. Reliable, relevant, and accessible information is key.

The World Scientific Encyclopedia of Climate Change (the Encyclopedia) responds to the outstanding risk, survival, and ethical issue of our time, requiring action and providing opportunity. This inspiring work can enhance optimism and courage to act urgently and persistently on climate change, with foresight for a livable future.

The Encyclopedia is intended to be informative and motivational. Short case studies make up the Encyclopedia. You will see climate change in the ways climate change really exists. Each case study is designed to be easy to read and to communicate with you, regardless of your background with climate change.

The Encyclopedia ‘s focus on climate change particularly centers around three main areas: Finance, Economics, and Policy. All the Encyclopedia ‘s contents touch upon these areas and the authors specify how their diverse and inter-related contributions are related to these focus areas, whether directly or indirectly. The Encyclopedia has categories to help organize understanding.

The Encyclopedia puts you in direct contact with primary source experts who write about their work on climate change from experience. Among the many (over 100) authors are scientists and faith leaders, students and lawyers, renewable energy and utility experts, action-oriented organization leaders and business leaders, doctors and UN officials, contrarian debunkers and climate risk modelers, financing and regulation experts, politicians and members of institutes, and many others.

World Scientific Encyclopedia of Climate Change (in 3 volumes) is suitable for both students and members of the public who want to be better informed about climate change impacts, risks, and opportunities, and be inspired to take action. The work retails for US$625 / £550 (hardcover) per set and is also available in electronic formats. To order or learn
