Journalists are invited to Europe's largest forum for breast cancer research.

The 11th European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC-11) will be taking place in Barcelona, Spain, Wednesday 21 – Friday 23 March 2018. Registration for media is free.

What is EBCC?

Europe's most exciting international cancer conference is the only one to involve all the major players in breast cancer, encouraging interaction between scientists, clinicians and patient representatives in a partnership of equals to talk not just about the very latest scientific advances, but also the ethical, social, political, and practical issues associated with caring for patients with breast cancer. EBCC-11 is expected to attract around 2500 delegates from around 90 countries worldwide. It is the largest breast cancer conference outside the USA.

The conference covers the entire spectrum of breast cancer and highlights what is new across fields as diverse as:

  • the impact of lifestyle on breast cancer
  • breast cancer screening and treatment
  • epidemiology and outcomes in breast cancer
  • breast cancer genetics

    Press conferences:

There will be press conferences on:

Wednesday March 21 at 09.00 hrs (in English) and at 10.15 hrs (in Spanish);

Thursday March 22 at 09.00 hrs (in English)
