In 2018, a coalition of five organisations were selected to establish Japan’s first next-generation synchrotron radiation facility as part of a large-scale research complex at Tohoku University’s Aobayama Campus.
Ahead of construction, Tohoku University will host the first International forum on next-generation synchrotron radiation on April 22.
April 21 – closed door stakeholders meeting, and then a welcome reception.
This forum will bring together researchers from top universities and research institutes around the world. The focus will be on promoting strategic research collaborations while hearing from experts in the field about how best to jointly utilize the facilities.
