The Institute of Bioengineering at Zhejiang University was established in 1986 and is one of the seven institutes in the Department of chemical and Biological Engineering. After nearly 30 years of development, it has become an academic platform for innovative bioengineering research in China with well-equipped research facilities and diverse research areas.

With the emerging of new technologies in bioengineering and also the development of bioindustry in China, the Institute of Bioengineering would like to take the opportunity to lead new advances and breakthroughs in biotechnology and welcome researchers globally to work with us for establishing an academic platform that can serve the society both academically and industrially.

The Institute of Bioengineering at Zhejiang University invites applications for faculty positions at all ranks. We also seek individuals with bioengineering background for postdoctoral positions. Applicants should have a Ph.D degree and demonstrated outstanding academic records. In addition, applicants with extensive teaching experience are also welcomed.

We are currently interested in the following research areas (but not limited to):

synthetic biology
cell culture and protein expression
bioprocess engineering
biocatalysis and biotransformation
bioresource engineering
biopharm engineering
nano biotechnology
biomaterials
bioanalysis
