The meeting was held at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum
According to the document, the two sides plan to cooperate in geological surveys and complex extraction projects based on the newest geological, geophysical and geochemical technologies.
At the same event, petroleum powerhouse Tatneft and storied charity Rusfond negotiated to join efforts for the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry, the one currently stationed at Kazan Federal University. Bone marrow therapy for children will be financed on a parity basis by Tatneft and Rusfond.
In particular, Tatneft helped the Donor Registry purchase a Biomek i7 station for the Rusfond Lab at KFU. The station will help raise the number of HLA typing tests to 25 thousand a year.
Rector Ilshat Gafurov also talked with Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Mikhail Kotyukov at the forum.
