Quantum field theory without the mathematics!

Quantum Field Theory and the Standard Model of particle physics are theories that can provide answers to some of the most fundamental questions in physics. Unfortunately, most explanations of their meaning require a deep knowledge of mathematics. Wouter Schmitz’s book, Particles, Fields and Forces, unravels these theories using diagrams, analogies and concepts so that even non-specialists can gain insight into some of the most central questions in theoretical physics. How can particles exist as waves in a vacuum? How can such waves have particle properties such as inertia? What are forces anyway? Particles, Fields and Forces is ideal for those who want to understand the theory without the mathematics.
