Science communicators of all types, including writers, journalists, bloggers and public information officers, are invited to the 11th annual Johns Hopkins Medicine Science Writers’ Boot Camp on June 10, 2019, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

There is no cost to join us for this day-long immersion in science.

Attendees enjoy firsthand access to Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine researchers and physicians, getting the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in health, medicine and science.

Past events have focused on topics such as sensory biology, epigenetics, pain, tissue regeneration, metabolism research and the immune system. This year’s theme is “Mysteries of the Mind – Understanding Mental Health and Addiction.”

Topics will include: stemming the opioid epidemic with science, predicting Alzheimer’s disease, understanding the connection between motivation and behavior, and what can be learned by connecting databases of brain imaging data.
