Last year’s congress on Targeting Microbiota, a pioneering event in Venice and online from October 17-19, marked a significant milestone in microbiota research. Hosted on the picturesque Isola di San Servolo, it united over 278 experts from 27 countries, offering pioneering insights into microbiota’s diverse roles. With thought-provoking discussions and 72 impactful presentations, the event delved into the influence of microbiota on health, disease, and the environment. The intersection of industry and academia highlighted groundbreaking technologies.
Outstanding Achievements Awarded at Targeting Microbiota 2023:
- Best Scientific Contribution Award: Prof. Lena Öhman, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, for her outstanding research on “Fecal Gut Microbiota and Metabolite Signatures as Biomarkers for Gastrointestinal Disorders”.
