BGRF is excited to report that its chief science officer, professor Alexander Zhavoronkov — also the CEO of Insilico Medicine, an AI company in Baltimore focused on drug discovery and drug repurposing for age-related disease, and author of the Ageless Generation: How Advances in Biomedicine Will Transform the Global Economy — will give a talk at Pioneers18, taking place from May 24-25, Hofburg Imperial Palace, Vienna.

'Pioneers' is an annual conference with a focus on deep tech and frontier tech, hosted by Pioneers.io. The Pioneers conferences serve as a meeting point where 2500 tech founders, innovation executives, investors and journalists meet to shape the future.

This makes it a particularly apt venue for Zhavoronkov, who will be able to share his projections for how AI is set to revolutionize biopharma for aging, biomarker discovery and drug discovery, a prospect he has written about extensively in recent years.

About the Biogerontology Research Foundation:

The Biogerontology Research Foundation (bg-rf.co.uk) is a UK non-profit research foundation and public policy center seeking to fill a gap within the research community, whereby the current scientific understanding of the ageing process is not yet being sufficiently exploited to produce effective medical interventions. The BGRF seeks to use the entire scope of modern biotechnology to attack not just the symptoms but also the mechanisms of age-related diseases.

About Pioneers:
