We invite you to the 28th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, which will take place in Madrid, Spain, from 21 – 24 April 2018.

ECCMID is the most important congress in infectious diseases, infection control and clinical microbiology. It offers a comprehensive scientific programme with keynote lectures, symposia, oral and poster sessions as well as educational formats on parallel tracks.

We welcome and encourage accredited journalists to cover the 28th ECCMID from 21 – 24 April 2018 in Madrid, Spain. Registration for bona fide journalists is free.

A press kit will be available from 21 April 2018 at the press centre. An electronic press kit will be available in advance.

The abstracts are available online at http://www.eccmidlive.org/ on 11 April 2018. The abstracts covered by the media programme will be embargoed and published on the day of presentation.

A press conference will be held at 14.30h – 15.45hrs CEST on Sunday 22 April, chaired by Prof. Mario Poljak (President of ESCMID), Prof. Murat Akova (Past-President and Communications Officer of ESCMID), Prof. Jesús Rodríguez Baño and Prof. Winfried Kern (ECCMID Programme Director).
