Boulder, Colo., USA: Geoscientists from the south-central U.S. and beyond will convene on 13-14 March in San Antonio, Texas, to discuss new science, expand on existing science, and explore the unique geologic features of the region. Sharon Mosher, Dean of the Jackson School of Earth Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin will deliver the keynote presentation, "Preparing Students for the Future Geoscience Workforce."
The meeting coincides with some of the best weather of the year, providing opportunities for spectacular field trips across the south Texas region. Trips include an overview of the Edwards Aquifer, a visit to Robber Baron Cave, and kayaking along the Llano River. One of the workshops will cover drone integration into geoscience research.
