ACC Quality Summit examines role of registries, quality campaigns and accreditation in quality and performance improvement efforts
The American College of Cardiology’s first annual ACC Quality Summit merges the NCDR Annual Conference and ACC Accreditation Congress for the first time to optimize cardiovascular patient care. The conference brings together cardiovascular thought leaders, administrators, clinicians, clinical quality leaders and data quality experts. ACC Quality Summit begins on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, in New Orleans.
“The ACC Quality Summit bridges quality improvement projects to improving cardiovascular care and patient outcomes. We’re excited to bring together NCDR and Accreditation and achieve quality care by connecting the entire health care team to share their success stories,” said Ralph Brindis, MD, MPH, MACC, co-director of ACC Quality Summit. “Whether you’re a CV admin seeking innovative solutions to improve your service line, a physician interested in promoting CV quality or a hospital administrator who wants to learn how NCDR/Accreditation can support your strategic goals, ACC Quality Summit has education and networking opportunities for all audiences, roles and experience levels.”
At ACC Quality Summit, cardiovascular professionals who participate in the NCDR, ACC Quality Campaigns or have achieved ACC Accreditation will learn more about effectively translating data and quality programs into achieving care. Cardiovascular leaders and experts will help attendees focus on providing optimal patient care, achieving clinical outcomes excellence and capturing high-quality data to drive important clinical and service line decisions.
Zubin Damania, MD, this year’s Ralph G. Brindis Keynote speaker, will discuss the importance of a team approach to quality and safety. Also known as “ZDoggMD,” Damania is an internist and comedian known for educating patients and providers through satirizing the health care system.
