[Germany, November 28, 2023] – The 14th World Congress on Targeting Mitochondria, a pivotal event featuring 83 presentations and engaging over 210 participants from around the globe, both in-person and online, concluded recently. This gathering underscored the critical role of mitochondria in clinical health and scientific research.

Targeting Mitochondria 2023 Abstracts Now Accessible Online

We are thrilled to announce that all abstracts from the congress, encompassing Major Talks, Short Oral Presentations, and Poster Presentations, have been published and are available online in The Journal of Mitochondria, Plastids, and Endosymbiosis (JMPE), a respected publication part of the Taylor & Francis Group. This collection represents the groundbreaking insights and developments discussed at the congress.

Prof. Volkmar Weissig, President of the World Mitochondria Society (WMS) and Editor-in-Chief of JMPE, in collaboration with Prof. Marvin Edeas, a member of the Editorial Board, emphasized the significance of this publication. “The inclusion of these abstracts in JMPE underscores our dedication to propelling mitochondrial research on a global scale. We are convinced that the future of medicine is intimately linked with mitochondrial science”, they stated.
