12th Annual Murray Fromson Fellowship Bio in Beer-Sheva, Israel

Depart Friday, March 17, 2017 – Return Friday, March 24, 2017

The Fellowship is dedicated to giving journalists the opportunity to write about research and technology emanating from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) in Beer-Sheva, Israel. The Fromson Fellowship is organized and implemented by American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (AABGU).

This year, (March 17 – 24) 8-10 U.S. science, health and medical journalists will be selected to report on the myriad bio-research projects and innovations in Israel that are being developed at or in partnership with BGU. Sessions will be held with top researchers and business leaders in the fields of biomedical engineering, robotics, nanomedicine, infectious diseases, and other areas.

The Fellowship covers fellows' travel, accommodation and meal costs and includes a five-day program in Israel. In addition to meetings, there will be special excursions and limited time for reporters to research or write. The 2017 Fellowship Cohort will depart from the U.S. on Friday, March 17th and return Friday, March 24th.

We will be finalizing our cohort on a rolling basis until Friday, February 17, 2017. Please review this itinerary carefully and determine if meeting with these researchers and developing stories from the trip fit into your area of expertise.

Please review the following itinerary.
