On January 11 2023, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) released the following:

Commenting on the announcement, Stephan Kuster, head of public affairs, Frontiers said:

“This impressive, wide-ranging package marks another decisive moment on the road to fully open science, and we welcome it. In the face of global, existential threats, we will need public trust in science and our political leaders to respond – with greater transparency, faster collaboration, fuller inclusivity, and the wider sharing of all the evidence. We stand ready to support universities, researchers, and research institutes in the vanguard of this transition.”
